My mom is a middle school/ elementary teacher and I've tutored for her all throughout my four years in High School. I've passed both the AP US History and AP English exams. I scored a 29 composite on my ACT. I have several years of training in the ways of theatre and high school speech, etc. I've taken basically all of my general education courses here at UNI (and passed them all with a B or above.) I want to be a tutor because I understand how difficult certain topics in school can be for someone to complete. What I also realize can sometimes be even more difficult, is asking for help. I want to make students feel comfortable with their knowledge on individual topics and work with them, at their own pace, to increase that knowledge.
