I am currently a senior at the University of Northern Iowa majoring in Theatre/Communication Education with an endorsement in English Education. I am in the midst of my level 2 courses in the education system meaning that I am half way through my theory level courses. I am however much further in regards to the content areas of my major. I currently have a GPA of 3.91.
Experience
As addressed above I have had experience in the classroom in regards to grading and teaching small lessons through my educational levels at UNI. I have also had experience working with kids of all ages through Sunday school at my church (6+ years), helping younger siblings with homework, youth internships with school aged children, as well as hands-on experience at a child development center (CDC) in Brussels, Belgium. I have been doing mentoring at Holmes Middle School for two years now.
